1.Overview: A Seminar Rooted in Purpose and Possibility

On February 28, 2025, Our Scolario’s Bogura District Team organized an engaging seminar at Sariakandi Degree College, connecting students with ideas and opportunities to help them shape their future.

The event reflected Our Scolario’s mission: to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity—especially for students in rural and underserved regions.

  1. A Warm Welcome and Coordinated Effort

Our five-member team reached the campus by 9:30 AM and received a warm welcome from the college Principal. His genuine support set the tone for the day. Faculty members and the Rover Scouts team collaborated closely with us to manage logistics and prepare the students for an engaging session.

  1. Presenting the Pillars: Our Scolario’s Core Framework

The seminar introduced students to Our Scolario’s four foundational pillars, tailored to support them in all aspects of personal and academic development:

– Pathfinder Hub: Personalized academic and career guidance, including local and international education pathways

– ECA Nexus: Promoting participation in extracurricular activities to build confidence and life skills

– Club Opportunities: Supporting student-led clubs to cultivate leadership and peer learning

– Career Lab: Offering resources for internships, skills development, training, and career planning

Each pillar was explained in simple terms with real-life relevance, helping students understand how to make use of these supports.

4.Student Engagement: Aspirations, Barriers, and Breakthroughs

The interactive discussion was one of the most powerful parts of the seminar. Students shared their career goals, interests, and challenges they face. Common points included:

– Confusion about how to pursue higher education or get scholarships

– Limited knowledge of extracurricular platforms

– Curiosity about skill development, internships, and studying abroad

– A strong desire to serve their communities through professions like nursing, teaching, and law

Their honesty revealed a vibrant inner world that often goes unheard due to lack of access.

5.Letter to My Future Self: A Personal Reflection

Students participated in a unique activity called “Letter to My Future Self”. They wrote brief letters about who they want to become and why.

The diversity of responses was remarkable—many students dreamed of becoming agriculture officers, advocates, nurses, and teachers, indicating community-focused aspirations.

This exercise not only allowed for reflection but helped Our Scolario understand students’ motivations more deeply.

6.Building Ongoing Support

At the end of the seminar, we collected students’ contact information with their consent to build a local support network. This will help:

– Share scholarship alerts and career updates

– Connect them with mentors and student clubs

– Involve them in future programs and workshops

– Guide them in areas like ECA, higher studies, and skill-building

This follow-up structure ensures that the seminar’s impact continues beyond the event.

7.Appreciation and Acknowledgement

We express our deepest gratitude to:

– The Principal of Sariakandi Degree College, for his leadership and support

– A special note of gratitude to the representative teacher, who worked closely with our team and served as a vital bridge between students and organizers

– The dedicated faculty members, who stood by us throughout the event

– The incredible Rover Scouts team, for their coordination and energy

– And most importantly, the students, whose participation made this seminar meaningful and memorable

8.Looking Ahead: Turning Momentum into Movement

This seminar is one step in Our Scolario’s journey to empower studen

ts across Bangladesh. We are planning more field-level initiatives in Bogura and beyond, with the same mission:

– Make academic and career guidance accessible to all

– Support underrepresented students in pursuing their goals

– Strengthen leadership, volunteerism, and community values

No dream should remain unfulfilled due to lack of support. That’s the future we’re building—together
