Our Scolario Brings the Astronomy Olympiad to Bogura — and Earns National Recognition from BDOAA

Some moments speak louder than words. For Our Scolario, the day we were invited to the National Round of the Bangladesh Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (BDOAA) was one of those moments.

It wasn’t just a recognition—it was a reflection of everything we’ve worked for: helping young minds believe they are capable of more, and creating real pathways to make that belief count.

A Day of Recognition, A Legacy of Dedication

When Our Scolario was called forward at the National Round, crest and certificate in hand, we didn’t just carry our organization’s name—we carried the voices, dreams, and rising ambitions of the young students we serve. The invitation wasn’t simply an honor; it was a celebration of the very students who dared to imagine more for themselves.

These are the students who stayed after school to attend workshops, who asked big questions about the cosmos, and who walked into the Olympiad exam room unsure of what awaited—but confident enough to try. That quiet bravery is what we stood for on that stage.

Form Workshop To National Impact

This recognition came after months of work, and it wouldn’t have been possible without a shared belief in something bigger.

As an official Club Partner of BDOAA, Our Scolario led hands-on outreach across Bogura. We hosted dynamic astronomy workshops at Sherwood International School and College and RDA Laboratory School and College, where students explored ideas like black holes, star formation, and the mysteries of time and space—often for the very first time.

Through these sessions, personal guidance, and school-level outreach, over 50 students from Our Scolario’s network joined the 8th BDOAA Regional Round, held on March 7, 2025, at Mati Dali High School. Their engagement, excitement, and growth became the heartbeat of our entire effort.

A Moment That Meant Everything

Being invited to the National Round wasn’t just a professional milestone—it was deeply personal. We were recognized not only for coordination, but for showing what’s possible when community-led teams believe in the potential of students—regardless of where they come from.

To be seen at that level, among scientists, educators, and national leaders, reminded us that change doesn’t always come from the center—it often starts quietly, locally, and grows with love, trust, and hard work.

The crest and certificate we received are now more than just symbols. They’re a commitment—to keep showing up, to keep creating space, and to keep walking beside the students who dare to dream.

The Students: The Heart of It All

At the core of this journey are the students—the ones who inspired us every step of the way.

Some had never participated in a science competition before. Some were unsure of whether they belonged in such spaces. But they came. They questioned. They grew. And they reminded us all that passion doesn’t need permission—it just needs a door to be opened.

This recognition belongs to them, above all.
