The International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) is one of the world’s leading science competitions for secondary-school students, organized by the International Geoscience Education Organization (IGEO). IESO aims to promote Earth-science education globally, foster scientific curiosity among young learners, and strengthen international cooperation in geoscience. Since its establishment in 2007, it has grown into a global event that attracts talented students from more than 30 countries every year.

IESO is an annual international Olympiad dedicated to Earth science, bringing together subjects like geology, meteorology, hydrology, environmental science, oceanography, climate science, and planetary science.
